When you use the midpoint formula,can you take either point as (x1, x2) or (x2, y2)/ Why or why not

yes you can
basicallly the midpoint formula takes the average of the 2 points
it doesn't matter order example
(3+5)/2=4=(5+3)/2=4

doesn't matter order
