A total of 411 tickets were sold for the school play . They were either adult tickets or student tickets. The number of student tickets sold were two times the number of adult tickets sold . How many adult tickets were sold ?

If you divide 411 by 3 you get 137 and since the number of student tickets is double then 137+137 gives us 274 so the adults tickets is 137
