Let the number of children be x.
Total tickets are 133. Adults will be (133 - x).
Cost from the children = 6.3*x = 6.3x
Cost from Adults = 9.4*(133 - x) = 9.4*133 - 9.4*x = 1250.2 - 9.4x
Total = 6.3x + 1250.2 - 9.4x = 1005.3
6.3x + 1250.2 - 9.4x = 1005.3
6.3x - 9.4x = 1005.3 - 1250.2
-3.1x = -244.9
x = -244.9 / -3.1
x = 79
79 child tickets were sold
.
