estimate : 2 dozen cookies = 24 cookies....so he can make 24 cookies in 23 minutes......12 dozen = 144 cookies....he can make 144 cookies in 143 minutes. <== this is the estimate
2/23 = 12/x
2x = 276
x = 276/2
x = 138 <== this is the actual minutes

2 dozen = 23 minutes
12 dozen is 6 times the original question.
6 x 23 = 138 minutes
