What does non-terminating decimals mean?

A decimal number that continues infinitely, or without end. Examples: 1 3 in decimal form is 0.3. The bar notation indicates that an infinite number of repeating 3's are required to represent this fraction. = 3.1415926... is another example of a number with a nonterminating decimal expansion.
