Why might you want to round to the nearest hundred rather than the nearest ten

Answer:

Rounding to nearest Hundred means movement of last two digits in a number, while Rounding to nearest tens means movement of only last digit.

Rounding to hundred gives a number having last two digit equal to Zero, while rounding to tens gives a number having last digit equal to 0.

For example

Rounding of 243 to nearest Hundred gives 200, while Rounding to nearest ten gives 240.

⇒If number is in hundreds or thousands or in ten Thousands that is bigger number then Rounding to Nearest hundred is better than Rounding to nearest ten.
