What is the sum of 3/2x and 7/4x

3/2x + 7/4x
Dina a common denominator which is 4, so multiply 3/2 by 2 to get the bottom number to be 4.

Expressed: 6/4x+7/4x
Now add them: 11/4x

3/2x +7/4x = ...........

3/2x(4/4)+7/4x(2/2)

12/8x+14/8x = 26/8x

26/8x = 13/4x(3.25x)
