We have that in order to find the slope we will use the following expression:

y=mx+b

Where m is the slope and b is the y intercept, from this, we will have that for the function:

y=(3)/(8)x-(9)/(7)

The slope will be:

m=(3)/(8)

***

We know that the function of a line can be described by the expression:

y=mx+b

With this values, we can create every single possible line. We will have that x will be the value in which we are going to locate our points for the line along the x-axis, y will be the image of that point, m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept.

For example:

y=x

herere the slope is 1 and the y-intercept is 0.

y=2x

Here the slope is 2 and the y-intercept is also 0.

y=(3)/(4)x+1

Here the slope is 3/4 and the y-intercept is 1.

Fromt this, we can see that each of the lines follows the same structure, be it with some of it's values equal to zero or different to zero.
