You can count backwards from 8 to -9 (8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, -1 , -2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -7, -8, -9) which is -17

Answer: 17

Equation: 8 - (-9)

Keep Change Change (KCC): 8 + 9

8 + 9 = 17
