How does a number with a decimal different than one without one

A number with a decimal can be converted into a fraction. Ex: 2.4 or 2 1/5. A number without a decimal is a whole number and can't be converted into a fraction

A number without a decimal is a whole number and a decimal number is most likely a number and a half hope that helps!
