It takes the moon 27 days, 7 hours, and 45 minutes to complete an entire orbit around the Earth, but takes 29 and a half (29.5) days to finish one full phase cycle of new moon to new moon.

We see all of the moon's
shapes
every 29.53 days. But
there's about 45% of its
surface
that we never see.
