3x+9=44-2x

3x+9=44-2x
-9 +2x
------------------
5x=35
x=7

3x+9=44-2x
We put x to the left side and when -2x goes to the left, we should change the - to +.
then it will be
3x+2x= 44-9
5x equals to 35
Therefore, x is 7.
