10x2=20 so place the 2 on top then bring down the 400 and multiply 10x4=40 so next to the 2 place a 4 and bring the 00 (zeros) down which you just enter double 00 as the remaining 2 numbers.
Answer: 2,400. I wish I could upload of pic to send

First you would knock out the zeros 20,400-> 20,40 10-> 1 Then divide like normal 2040 divided by 1 equals 2,040
