We can conclude that NaOH is a base, and or basic solution, as it increases the hydroxide ion concentration in water.

When NaOh is added to water the hydroxide concentration increase and what can be concluded is that

NaOH is a strong basic solution. strong base dissociate completely in water to produce hdroxide ions . NaOH it dissociate in water to produce hydroxide ions.(OH^-)

that is NaOH ----> Na^+(aq) + OH^-(aq)
