A simile is a sentence using like or as and thats the same to metaphor, except a metaphor doesnt use like or as but it also compares.

A simile is when you an object or concept is something else using the words "as" or "like" in the sentence. E.g Her face was boring as an old saw Metaphor is the same without using the words "as" or like in the sentence. E.g Her face was an old saw An allusion is a reference or statement that links to the past or something famouse. E.g “When she lost her job, she acted like a Scrooge, and refused to buy anything that wasn’t necessary.” Scrooge was an extremely stingy character from Charles Dickens’, A Christmas Carol
