Describe what the pH scale is and what it shows

The pH scale measures how acid or basic a substance is. From 0-6 the substance is acidic ( and some examples of substances are lemon juice and battery acid) and from 8-14 the substance is basic. the number 7 on the scale means that the substance is neutral which is neither acidic or basic
