y = -1x + 9

Explanation:

y=mx+c

Find the gradient: (m)

gradient = change in y ÷ change in x

so, 3 ÷ -3 = -1

Substitute any coordinate into the equation y= -1x + c

eg. (6,3) (x,y)

x=6 and y=3

3 = -1(6) +c

3= -6 + c

Rearrange to make c the subject

C= 3+6 = 9

so y= -1x +9
