rs + st = rt Plug in the values
3x + 1 + 2x - 2 = 64 Combine like terms (1 and -2)
3x -1 + 2x = 64 Combine like terms (3x and 2x)
-1 + 5x = 64 Add 1 to both sides
5x = 65 Divide both sides by 5
x = 13
