I think it would be D because it isn't doing something to protect itself or provide for itself, it is referring to its physical properties.

Among the choices mentioned above the answer is D which the spines of a cactus protect it form animals, it is not a behavioral adaptation since the spines of a cactus is not a behavior. Behavioral adaptations are the organisms do to survive.
