Funding for social security. With more Americans retiring and claiming those benefits, and smaller generation of workers coming in to replace them, there are rightfully fears about its fate in the future. There will be fewer workers paying to fund the social security for a larger number of retirees. The main fear is that by the time the new generations, usually called X and Y, reach retirement age funding for the service may dry up because of so many baby boomers overwhelming their successors' ability to fund it.
