If two different people use the same dichotomous key to identify the same organism, should they have different results? Explain.

Dichotomous key can be described as a biological tool that is constructed by scientists in order to identify and classify the unknown organisms.

It is based on certain morphological traits of the organism ( such as presence of leaf type that is simple or compound type leaf). This key is used to find out the differences and similarities between different organisms.

If two different people use the same key, they should get the same results. If they get different results, this will indicate differences in their interpretation of organism.

NO, they shouldn't have different results

Dichotomous key should be mutually exclusive, and there wouldn't be any room where subjective observation can mess up their result, which means they both should arrive at the same classification
