The answer is volume.

The Charles' Law can be expressed as:
V = kT
where:
V is the volume of the gas,
T is the temperature of the gas.
k is constant.

Although the volume and the temperature are on the different sides of the equations they are directly proportional. That means that if the volume increases, the temperature must increase and vice versa.
