An equilateral triangle has all the sides equal.
So we are given with
x + 12, 2x - 5 and 3x - 22 inches.
Which means :
x + 12 = 2x - 5 = 3x - 22
Solving for x :
x + 12 =
2 x - 5
12 + 5 = 2 x - x
17 = x
