we have

6x+y=12

this is the equation of a line

isolate the variable y

y=-6x+12

This is the equation of a line in slope intercept form y=mx+b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

In this problem we have

m=-6

b=12

Drawn the line

To draw the line we need two points

we have the y-intercept-------> (0,12)

Find the x-intercept

For y=0

0=-6x+12

6x=12

x=0.5

the x-intercept is (0.5,0)

Plot the intercepts and draw the line

using a graphing tool

see the attached figure
