we are given the function sec x - 2 = 0 and is asked to solve for x. In this case, we all know that secant is the inverse of cosine. Hence, the expression becomes cos x = 1/2. x then in degrees is equal to 60 degrees. In radians, this is equal to pi/3. cos is also positive in the fourth quadrant which means the answer is d. 5 pi/3.
