To simplify an expression, it should be remembered that we can only combine like terms. First, we have to separate the terms, we can put all term with variable in one side and the constants on the other side.

(4/5)x + (4/3) = 2x
2x - (4/5)x = 4/3
(6/5)x = 4/3
x = 10/9

(4)/(5)x+(4)/(3)=2x\ \ \ \ |multiply\ both\ sides\ by\ 15\\\\15\cdot(4)/(5)x+15\cdot(4)/(3)=15\cdot2x\\\\3\cdot4x+5\cdot4=30x\\\\12x+20=30x\ \ \ \ \ |subtract\ 12x\ from\ both\ sides\\\\18x=20\ \ \ \ \ |divide\ both\ sides\ by\ 18\\\\x=(20)/(18)\\\\x=(20:2)/(18:2)\\\\\boxed{x=(10)/(9)\to x=1(1)/(9)}
