Can a sedimentary rock be transformed into an igneous rock and then into a metamorphic rock? Explain.

yes they can.

Igneous to metamorphic :
- Igneous rock broken into smaller particles
- these particles are transported by nature (rain or wind) to a place of deposition
- when they gathered, they will be lithified through compaction and cementation to form sedimentary rock

igneous to metamorphic
- igenous rock is exposed to heat and pressures from tectonic plates
-the pressure caused the minerals to align creating a banded or foliated metamorphic rock
