y=2x-3\ \ \ \ \ |add\ 3\ to\ both\ sides\\\\2x=y+3\ \ \ \ |divide\ both\ sides\ by\ 2\\\\x=0.5y+1.5\\\\Answer:y^(-1)=0.5x+1.5

we are asked to find out the inverse function of the function y = 2x -3. To find the inverse, we explicitly express the function in terms of y first, that is (y + 3)/2 = x and then exchange the places of x and y. The inverse function hence is x + 3 = 2y
