To find the equation perpendicular to the graph of 4x - 2y = 1. First, rearrange the equation in slope intercept form and find the slope. Then take the reciprocal of the slope and add a negative to it.

4x - 2y = 1
-2y = 1 - 4x
-2y/-2 = 1/-2 -4x/-2
Y = -1/2 + 2x
Y = 2x - 1/2.

Assuming y intercept is the same (0,-1/2), we can find the new equation.

Y = -1/2x - 1/2.

I believe the above equation is the new line that is perpendicular to the original line.
