what connection do you think existed between immigration and mineral production during the second half of the nineteenth century?

The immigrants most likely found work in the mines which increased the amount of minerals being mined.

I believe immigration was resulted in the increase of mineral production

The increase in immigration provide a lot of people on the labour market that minerals producers can use at a relatively cheaper prices. This increase the mineral companies' workforce along with their annual mineral production in nineteenth century.
