if an iron nail is placed in a glass of water, the nail will sink. is the density of iron smaller or larger than the density of water? explain please

The density is most likely larger because if the density of the nail was smaller than the water it would float .

Science Experiment : EASY

To look at density try putting 3 different liquids in an empty plastic bottle , let it sit , and you'll see the density of the 3 things.

Whatever is on the top has the least density and the bottom has greatest density

test liquids include ...

dish washer soap
milk
water
syrup
sugary drinks

etc.
