Hi, I'm supposed to write a research paper for ELA which is basically like an expository essay. So for the first 3 body paragraphs, we need to give background info, and for the last 3 body paragraphs we need to do argumentative writing "Taking an opinionated stance on the selected topic and discussing both sides of the argument while favoring a particular side". So since we need to take a stance on both sides while favoring the side we are on, does it mean that we also have to add components of a persuasive essay to an expository essay as well such as rebuttals and other such features? Kinda want people's opinion on this and how much I should lean towards the persuasive side since I'm technically writing an expository essay after all.

You should keep it balanced but for the other side seem more interested and give more details to make the reader understand which side is being favorited more without making the other side seem bad i hope this helps? :D
