Simplify using the Distributive Property. 9 × 81 a. (9 × 80) + 1 = 721b. (9 × 80) - (9 × 1) 711c. (9×80) + (9 × 1) = 729d. (9×80)- (9 × 1) = 801

Given the question in the question tab, we can use the distributive property to get our answer using the following steps:

Step 1:

\begin{gathered} 9*81 \\ We\text{ can }make\text{ 81 as a sum of two numbers} \\ 81=80+1 \\ \text{Now we have, }9*(80+1) \end{gathered}

Step 2: We carry out the distributive property on the new expression;

\begin{gathered} A*(B+C)=(A* B)+(B* C) \\ \text{Where A=9, B=80, C=}1 \\ 9*(30+51)=(9*80)+(9*1) \\ =720+9 \\ =729 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is (9x80)+(9x1)=729 which is option C.
