your answer is 14 (rounded to the nearest tenth) cause the r of the circle is 4 and to find area is pi*r^2 and that is 50.24 minus the 64 and that is 13.76

Answer:

13.73 square units

Explanation:

Area of shaded region = Area of a square - area of a circle

Area of a square = side^2

side = 8

Area of a square =
8^2= 64

Area of a circle =
\pi r^2

Radius of a circle = diameter divide by 2 =
(8)/(2) =4

Area of a circle =
\pi (4)^2=16\pi

Area of shaded region = Area of a square - area of a circle

Area of shaded region =
64-16\pi =13.73 square units
