Proclamation of 1763:
-To avoid War the British and save money the proclamation forbade (did not allow) colonists to move east of the Appalachian Mountains at the Continental Divide.
- Many settlers moved East regardless
Sugar Act:
-Taxed sugar, coffee, indigo and molasses.
- Colonial leaders were worried. They wanted to govern themselves.
Quartering Act: required Colonial authorities to provide food, drink,housing, fuel and transportation to British soldiers.
