Is it possible to have negative specific heat? Explain.

There is no such thing as negative specific heat although there is negative change in enthalpy. Specific heat is inherent to the substance and is the measure of the heat gained per unit mass per unit temperature. The change in enthalpy becomes negative when the temperature decreases from its original value
