America was able to rebuild faster.

If you consider America's size, the size of its population and the fact that it had amazing economical and industrial strength, it becomes easy to understand how they could provide and supply resources and the people to keep up with everything that happened. By the time that Japan was dealing with its losses, America had already rebuilt what it needed.
