lets suppose the equation is
1/ (x-7) = 21

when x = 7 , the equation is unsolvable because the 0 is the denominator. However, the equation is till solvable because x does not equal 7

Answer: what amanda explained above is true but only for some cases where there are restrictions for the value of x. For this you simply have to find the restrictions but it does not make an equation unsolvable.
