Javier has a job installing windows. He earns a rate of $75 per day plus $8 per window installed. He also receives a stipend of $25 for snacks. Javier knows his weekly earnings can be shown with the following expression:. 75d + 8w + 25. . 1..Identify a coefficient, a variable, and a constant in this expression.. . 2.If Javier works for 5 days and installs 48 windows, how much does he earn? . . 3. If Javier gets an increase in his stipend and receives $40 for snacks, would the coefficient, variable, or constant in the equation change? Why?

1. The coefficient is the number before the variable(letter), so 8.
The variable is the amount of windows (w).
The constants (stands alone) are $75 and $25.
2. Laid out: 5x$75 ($75 a day) + 48x$8 ($8 per window) + $25
$375 + $384 + $25= ($784 earned)
3. The coefficient is 8.
The variable is the w (amount of windows).
The constants are $75 and $40.

The constants changed because it's no longer $75 and $25, one of the constants ($25) increased to $40.

Answer:
1) coefficient: 75 Variable: d constant: 25.
2) 75d+8w+25=
75*5+8*48+25=
375+384+25=
759+25=
784
3) the constant would change, the reason being that there is no variable attached to the number.

I hope it helps, Regards.
