Im not sure about the first question but question 37. There isn't an error as I can see. Since if he JUST looked at the sign there would still be 65 miles to get to the first place PLUS the 80 to get to the second place. The place he is going to. Now if he is in the first place there would only be about 15 miles to get to the second place.
Question 38. No.. He is NOT correct. If he looked at the sign correctly there is 80 miles to the place not 71. He is 9 miles off.
