Well some Curry Lux are 149.99
A 5% sales tax would make them about 157.49
The math is:
149.99 * 1.05 = 157.4895
---or---
149.99 * 0.05 = 7.4995
7.4995 + 149.99 = 57.4895

well to add a tax to something you'd times it in. In this case is price of shoes times 0.05 would get you your answer.
