From Barry's experiment,

\begin{gathered} \text{Percent that prefered chocolate=}(25)/(40)*100 \\ \text{Percent that prefered chocolate=}(2500)/(40) \\ \text{Percent that prefered chocolate=62.5\%} \end{gathered}

Therefore, we can use this experiment to deduce that 62.5% of the total 1,200 student population prefered chocolate ice cream. Hence, we would have,

\begin{gathered} \text{Percent that prefered chocolate=}(62.5)/(100)*1200 \\ Percent\text{ that prefered chocolate=0.625x1200} \\ P\text{ercent that prefered chocolate=750 } \end{gathered}

The result of Barry's experiment shows that 750 students in the school most likely prefer chocolate ice cream
