Marcia has a sunflower garden. The plants are currently 36 inches tall and are growing at a rate of 4 inches each week. Write an equation that represents the height, H, of the sunflower plants, where w is the number of weeks. H = 36w – 4 H = 36w + 4 H = –4w + 36 H = 4w + 36

Simple.....

since it's an equation it will be written in y=mx+b form....

height is what you're looking for...

H=

You already know they're 36 inches tall...

H=__+36

You're writing it in weeks..and they grow 4 inches PER WEEK.

H=4w+36

Thus, your answer.
