I would think A, because the "silence" "screamed frightfully" and screaming is the paradox of silence.

The correct answer is C) Screamed frightfully is a hyperbole.

In the sentence, The silence of the night screamed frightfully in my ears, silence of the night is a personification. So choice B is not correct. Silence that screams is also a personification so choice A is not correct. So the correct answer is C. Screamed frightfully is a hyperbole. I hope this answer helped you.
