Rate of overtime earned by Lana = $12
Amount of wages earned = s
Number of hours Lana worked as overtime = y
Then
s = (8 * 40) + 12y
= 320 + 12y
Part C:
Amount earned by Lana = $368
Yhen
368 = 320 +12y
12y = 368 - 320
12y = 48
y = 4
So Lana worked 4 hours of overtime during the week.
