"Young Turks" was a coalition of various Turkish reform groups which formed a revolutionary movement against the regime of Sultan Abdulrahman II in 1889. This group demanded proposed the reform of the Turkish Government by establishing a strong central government and excluding all foreign influence in public policy matters. They also proposed a liberal economic model in which private entities would eventually lead the industrialization in the country by owning and controlling the major production sites.
