Y is a point that is inbetween the line with end point J and A


JA = JY +YA

Given that : JA=17 and YA=3

Replace the value in the equation and find out JY


JA = JY +YA


17 = JY +3

Subtract 3 from both sides of the equation


17-3 = JY +3-3


14= JY

So JY= 14
