Answer:

Fran sell 33 shirt

Gerg. sell 7 shirt

Lin sell 11 shirt

Explanation:

L=g+4

f=3L

g=?

Total=51

First we set an equation to find the number of shirt Fran sell:

F=3L=3(g+4)

3(g+4)=3g+12

Now we set an equation:

3g+12+g+4+g=51

Combine like terms:

3g+g+g=5g

12+4=16

Reduce equation to:

5g+16=51

51-16=35

5g=35

35/5=7

g=7, Georg sellsell 7 clothes

Now we find how many shirt Lin sell:

7+4=11

L=11, LIn sell 11 cloths

Last we can find how many shirt Fran sell:

f=3g+12

F=3(7)=21+12=33

F=33, Fran sell 33 shirts

Check work:

33+11+7=51

L + F + G = 51
F = 3L...F = 3(G + 4)....F = 3G + 12
L = G + 4

(G + 4) + (3G + 12) + G = 51
5G + 16 = 51
5G = 51 - 16
5G = 35
G = 35/5
G = 7 <=== Greg sold 7

L = G + 4...L = 7 + 4....L = 11 <== Lin sold 11
F = 3G + 12.....F = 3(7) + 21....F = 21 + 12....F = 33 <== Fran sold 33
