44444/444 then you cross 1 four on top and one on the bottom until there is none at the bottom and you see there is 2 fours up on the numerator side. so it would be 4 to the 2nd power.

so 4 to the power of 5 would be 1024
and 4 to the power of 3 would be 64
1024 divided by 64 equals 16
