Hello!

The first step to calculating the median is to rewrite the number in an order (crescent or decrescent).

I'll rewrite the numbers using the crescent order:

• 4, 5, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13

The median is the number that appears exactly in the middle of the ordered sequence.

Note that we have eight numbers, so we have to add the fourth and fifth values, then divide by two. The result will be the median. Let's do it:

• 4, 5, 5, ,6,, ,10,, 11, 12, 13

\mathrm{Median=(6+10)/(2)=(16)/(2)=\boxed{8}}

Answer:

The median is 8.
